Linda Duverné
M.S. Clinical Intern, Johns Hopkins University
Linda (she/her/herself) is a counseling intern currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is in her second year of training and is under the clinical supervision of Michelle Collins, LCMFT.
She designed a concentration, “Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Ancestral Healing for Haiti’s Future” at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She spent the past 7 years reconnecting Haitian and Black communities with their intergenerational wisdom to promote intergenerational healing through mindfulness programming, meditation sessions, journaling workshops, flower essence therapy, wellness consulting, and speaking engagements.
As a trauma-informed certified mindfulness meditation teacher, Linda holds an Afrocentric mindfulness approach. While her background is grounded in this approach, she honors each client’s cultural background and beliefs. She meets clients where they are, empowering them to arrive at their own insights, and explore both seen and unseen emotions. Guided by intuition and compassion, she creates a nurturing space that supports curiosity, non-judgment, and awareness of thoughts, feelings, and intergenerational patterns.
