Kassandra Butler

M.S. Clinical Intern, Johns Hopkins University

Under the supervision of Michelle Collins, LMFT

Kassandra (Pronouns; She/Her/Hers) joins Asé as a counseling intern; she is pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. Kassandra receives supervision from Michelle Collins, LCMFT. 


Kassandra obtained her Bachelors's in Psychology from the University of Central Florida minoring in Africana Studies. She has worked with underserved communities both in Orlando, FL and Baltimore City, One of her favorite projects included teaching social-emotional skills to male and female student-athletes.


Kassandra strongly advocates for health and mental wellness within the Latin and Black communities. As a Certified Personal trainer, Kassandra loves discussing the impact physical movement and regimen can have on mental health functioning. Kassandra enjoys Yoga, Pilates, and Occasional Wellness Walks in her spare time. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring new hobbies like Pottery and Painting.


Kassandra believes that therapy has a rewarding outcome for clients and is dedicated to clients exploring and being introduced to the various languages of healing. In her own therapy, Kassandra has appreciated the emotional relief she feels at the end of sessions, even when discussing the hard stuff. 


Kassandra identifies as an Afro-Latina woman and finds it very important to be an advocate for the Black and Latina community. 


Kassandra is trained in the premarital program, Prepare/Enrich; this process is great for couples preparing for marriage and cohabitating.
